Samsung might go with LCD screen on the Note III, for better S Pen experience

Samsung insiders have allegedly confirmed that the company is entirely ready with the Galaxy S 4 project (it’d be funny if they weren’t), and moving on to other pastures, like the upcoming Note III with an eventual 6.3″ display.
For its 2013 giant-screen flagship, however, the discussions are still very much in the project mapping stage, since Samsung is trying to determine whether to stick with an OLED display, like it did so far, or go LCD, like on the Note 8.0, which would allegedly provide a better S Pen stylus experience.
The source for such musings is purportedly Samsung’s $130 million investment in Sharp, whose IGZO LCD screen tech everyone is trying to get a hold of, as it offers superior power-saving, brightness and pixel density options in a very slim packaging. Sharp’s stake was said to be because of the Japanese TV panels, but we’d imagine Samsung wouldn’t mind to get some scoop on the mobile screens potential there either.
